Holud Pakhi – Handwoven Pure Tussar Bhujodi Saree
Handwoven Bhujodi desi Tussar Saree
8 km from the city of Bhuj in Gujarat is a textile hub called Bhujodi, whose artisans weave a 500-year-old story into every product that comes off their looms. Each handspun saree woven here is a beauty crafted by the Vankars of Bhujodi. The signature element of these Vankars (weavers) is how simple, usually geometric motifs are arranged aesthetically and then woven into the fabric using a special technique. The yarn, whether cotton, desi tussar or woollen, is dyed in rich shades of natural colours, providing an earthy look and feel.

Banjaran III – LAMBANI HAND EMBROIDERY ON KARVATI KINAR VIDARBHA TUSSAR
Lambadi, Labanki or Gor-boli, also called Banjari, is a language spoken by the once nomadic Banjara people across India and it belongs to Indo-Aryan group of languages. They moved to South India from Rajasthan along with the Mughal army in the 16th century and settled in Bijapur district of Karnataka.
Lambani women traditionally make embroidered handicrafts from scrap by pulling out thread from old saris and sewing together patches of cloth, which was then embellished with embroidery, mirror work, cowrie shells, beads and coins.

Navagunjara – Handwoven Handspun Fine Tussar from Gopalpur
Navagunjara: A mythical creature composed of nine different animals
#Navagunjara represents the manifestation of Vishnu, in a form named Visvarupa. The complex figure has a bull’s hump on its slim waist, a peacock’s head and neck, and a serpent’s tail. It stands on three legs: A a tiger and a deer’s hind legs, and an elephant’s left foreleg. A lotus in full bloom is held in the shape of a human hand by the right foreleg. In some folktales, a rooster’s head is shown in place of a peacock’s.
In the tradition of Sri Jagannatha of Puri, Navagunjara is considered as representing Eswara (Supreme One) and as the Visva-rupa (Universal Form) of Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu.
